Global Oleochem Summit (GOS) 2025: APROBI Showcases Indonesian Biofuel on the World Stage
APROBI, as the vanguard of the Indonesian biofuel industry, demonstrated its global presence by participating in the 22nd Global Oleochem Summit 2025 in Nanning, China, from July 23–25, 2025. APROBI’s presence in this international forum strengthens Indonesia’s position as a key player in the global oleochemical and biofuel markets.

In a seminar attended by experts, producers, and policymakers from various countries, Mr. Catra de Thouars, APROBI’s Vice Chairman for Communications and Promotion, was entrusted to deliver a pivotal presentation titled “Overview of Indonesia Biofuel Market.” This presentation underlined Indonesia’s strategic role, particularly through its ambitious mandatory biodiesel policies, such as B40.

The Growth of Indonesian Biofuel
Mr. Catra presented the latest data regarding Indonesia’s biodiesel production capacity, growth projections, and the significant contribution of the biofuel industry to national energy security. Key highlights included:
-
Emission Reduction: The industry’s vital role in suppressing greenhouse gas emissions.
-
Social Impact: How the palm-based biofuel industry creates millions of jobs.
-
Economic Stability: Efforts to stabilize commodity prices, which directly impact the welfare of local farmers.

APROBI’s participation in this conference was not merely an information-sharing session; it served as a prime opportunity to build networks, explore new market opportunities, and strengthen cooperation with international partners.
This step aligns with Indonesia’s commitment to continue leading the global clean energy transition by utilizing its abundant and sustainable natural resources. By engaging with the global oleochemical community, APROBI ensures that Indonesian biofuel remains a competitive and recognized solution in the international green energy landscape.
