Dengan kekayaan alam yang melimpah, mudah ditemukan, dan terbarukan, Indonesia mempunyai potensi untuk menjadi lumbung bioenergi dunia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seperti yang kita tahu, energi merupakan kebutuhan dasar untuk kehidupan sehari-hari. Jika tingkat ketergantungan pada energi sangat tinggi, bagaimana kalau energi tersebut habis? Alasan inilah yang membuat kita perlu beralih ke bioenergi, sebagai Energi Baru Terbarukan (EBT)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Bahan bakunya selalu tersedia untuk diproduksi ulang secara berkelanjutan. Bioenergi bisa digunakan sebagai pembangkit listrik dan juga bahan bakar. Dengan menggunakan bioenergi, berarti kita turut mewujudkan tujuan kebijakan energi nasional, yaitu memaksimalkan energi terbarukan dan meminimalkan konsumsi energi fosil.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Potensi Bioenergi untuk Pembangkit Listrik<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Terkait pemanfaatannya sebagai energi pembangkit listrik, potensi bioenergi yang dimiliki Indonesia sangat besar yaitu 442 Gigawatt (GW). Tetapi, pemanfaatannya baru 99,4 GW atau sekitar 2%. Hal ini menjadi alasan bagi Pemerintah mendorong pengembangan bioenergi untuk menjawab tantangan pencapaian target 23% di 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Potensi Bioenergi Jenis Biodiesel<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sebagai bahan bakar, bioenergi berjenis biodiesel juga memiliki potensi yang besar untuk dikembangkan. Hal ini bukan saja karena biodiesel bisa menggantikan bahan bakar minyak diesel yang banyak digunakan untuk transportasi, tetapi juga karena Indonesia memiliki ragam tanaman yang bisa digunakan sebagai bahan baku biodiesel seperti kelapa sawit dan jarak pagar. Saat ini, Indonesia sedang menerapkan program mandatori biodiesel B30 di berbagai sektor seperti usaha mikro, perikanan, pertanian, transportasi dan pelayanan umum (bersubsidi), transportasi nonsubsidi, pembangkit listrik, industri, dan komersial.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Potensi Bioenergi Jenis Bioetanol<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selain biodiesel, terdapat bioenergi dalam bentuk bioetanol yang bisa menjadi alternatif bahan bakar pengganti bensin. Bioetanol bersumber dari karbohidrat yang potensial sebagai bahan baku, seperti jagung, ubi kayu, ubi jalar, sagu, dan tebu. Dari beberapa bahan baku tersebut, diketahui bahwa tanaman jagung merupakan bahan baku unggulan untuk menjadi bahan utama bioetanol karena selain dari segi ekonomis tergolong murah, jumlah hasil bioetanol yang dihasilkan jagung ternyata lebih besar diantara tanaman lain.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Indonesia memiliki potensi bioenergi yang sangat besar. Ini berarti, potensi untuk mewujudkan ketahanan energi dan kualitas lingkungan yang lebih baik juga tak kalah besar. Semoga Indonesia bisa mencapai target pengembangan dan pemanfaatan bioenergi sesuai dengan yang sudah direncanakan.
