Sumber energi ramah lingkungan itu dapat berasal dari samudera, panas bumi, bio energi, angin, hidro, dan surya. Walaupun alam Indonesia memiliki potensi energi baru terbarukan yang sangat besar, namun belum termanfaatkan dengan maksimal karena baru kisaran 2.5% saja yang dimanfaatkan dari potensi sebenarnya.<\/p>\n<p>Pengembangan energi baru terbarukan ini menjadi penting karena Indonesia berkomitmen mengurangi emisi karbon pada tahun 2030 sebesar 29% dengan usaha sendiri dan 41% dengan bantuan internasional. Rencananya, pengembangan energi hijau menjadi cara untuk mencapai target bauran energi primer nasional sebesar 23% di tahun 2025 dan 31% di tahun 2050. Kontribusinya terhadap energi nasional sekarang masih sebesar 9,15%. Indonesia juga mempunyai kewajiban untuk mencapai target penurunan emisi gas rumah kaca sebesar 314 sampai 398 juta ton karbon dioksida dari sektor energi, yang merupakan salah satu isi dari<i>\u00a0Paris Agreement.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Dengan segala potensi yang dimiliki, masalah pendanaan masih menjadi salah satu tantangan besar dalam pengembangan energi terbarukan di Indonesia. Untuk itu, pemerintah mengeluarkan regulasi dan beberapa opsi pendanaan, seperti\u00a0<i>green bond\u00a0<\/i>melalui Lembaga Pengelola Investasi (LPI). Lembaga ini bertanggung jawab langsung kepada presiden dan bertugas merencanakan, menyelenggarakan, serta mengelola investasi.<\/p>\n<p>Keberadaan Lembaga Pengelola Investasi (LPI) bisa menjadi harapan baru dalam pengembangan energi bersih, khususnya untuk membantu mobilisasi dana dari dalam maupun luar negeri.\u00a0Kehadirannya diharapkan dapat\u00a0meningkatkan dan mengoptimalkan nilai investasi secara jangka panjang dalam rangka mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan. Investasi tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan dalam berbagai kesempatan investasi yang ada di Indonesia, termasuk di sektor EBT. Sebab, selama ini pengembangan dan pemanfaatan EBT di Indonesia cukup terhambat akibat dari sulitnya mendapatkan pembiayaan.<\/p>\n<p>Namun, tentunya\u00a0pengembangan proyek EBT ini tidak bisa hanya bersandar pada satu lembaga pembiayaan saja dan harus didukung oleh komitmen kuat pemerintah. Pemerintah Indonesia harus konsisten dan berkomitmen dalam perencanaan proyek energi bersih.
