Kedua program ini akan diawasi dan dievaluasi secara berkala dengan meningkatkan infrastruktur pendukung, serta memastikan insentif tetap berjalan. Tentunya,\u00a0kebijakan ini bermaksud untuk mendorong perluasan penggunaan biodiesel sehingga mampu meningkatkan porsi energi terbarukan dan mengurangi fosil. Pertanyaannya, apakah kebijakan ini berkontribusi untuk menekan emisi atau justru sebaliknya?<\/p>\n<p>Faktanya, dari segi lingkungan, peralihan penggunaan energi ke biodiesel akan memangkas penggunaan bahan bakar fosil dan mengurangi emisi gas rumah kaca.\u00a0Bahan bakar ini berpeluang untuk menjadi energi transisi nasional, jika dikelola dengan baik dan berkelanjutan. Hal ini dapat terjadi jika emisi dari alih fungsi lahan dan pabrik kelapa sawit diminimalisir. Untuk mewujudkan kondisi ideal ini, ada beberapa tantangan yang harus diperhatikan, seperti standardisasi lingkungan untuk produksi biodiesel rendah emisi, juga transparansi, serta keterlacakan asal-usul minyak sawit agar biodiesel dapat berkelanjutan. Selain itu, diperlukan juga konsistensi pemberian insentif biodiesel, peningkatan penggunaan di sektor non-PSO, serta penyesuaian penggunaan mesin kendaraan. Untuk membantu penyerapan biodiesel lebih optimal, diperlukan juga penyediaan Terminal Bahan Bakar Minyak (TBBM).<\/p>\n<p>Tidak hanya berguna untuk lingkungan saja, secara ekonomi, penerapan kebijakan biodiesel ini juga berkontribusi pada pengurangan impor solar, menghemat devisa, dan meningkatkan nilai tambah industri hilir.\u00a0Hingga tahun 2020 sendiri, realisasi pemanfaatan biodiesel untuk kebutuhan domestik mencapai 8,46 juta kiloliter. Berdasarkan perhitungan menggunakan rata-rata MOPS Solar 2020 sebesar US$50\/BBL dengan kurs mata uang senilai Rp14.400 terhadap US$1, pemanfaatan biodiesel ini berdampak pada penghematan devisa sebesar Rp38,31 triliun.<\/p>\n<p>Dengan segala keuntungan ini, APROBI tentunya siap untuk mendukung program biofuel pemerintah karena sudah terbukti mampu menghemat devisa pemerintah dan menekan emisi karbon. Secara khusus, APROBI mengapresiasi Presiden Jokowi yang berkomitmen penuh dalam mengimplementasikan program B30 secara bertahap sebagai bentuk upaya membangun ketahanan energi nasional.
