Lebih lanjut tutur Dadan, sawit juga bisa dikembangkan sebagai Compressed Biomethane Gas (CBG). Sawit untuk bahan bakar nabati (biofuel) potensinya mencapai 34 juta kilo liter. \u201cSementara untuk biomass power plant, potensinya mencapai 13,273 dan biogas mencapai 1.785 MW,\u201d tutur Dadan menjelaskan Wajar bilaman sampai saat ini sektor komoditas kelapa sawit telah menjadi tulang punggung perekonomian nasional sebab itu, tutur Deputi Bidang Koordinasi Pangan dan Pertanian Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Perekonomia, Musdhalifah Machmud komoditas ini perlu dikawal baik  oleh pemerintah termasuk semua stakeholder, dan IPB University. Menurutnya, kelapa sawit juga dapat mewujudkan kemandirian energi nasional melalui mandatori biodiesel. Bisa menghemat devisa dan mengurangi impor solar hingga Rp 38 triliun. Dalam lingkup global, Indonesia menguasai pangsa pasar sebesar 58 persen. Industri sawit dalam negeri juga mampu menghasilkan 160 ragam jenis produk hilir. Dan akan terus ditingkatkan dengan inovasi-inovasi yang memiliki nilai tambah tinggi \u201cIndonesia menghasilkan 40% dari total minyak nabati dunia. Hilirisasi sawit juga masih menjadi tantangan. Melansir laporan PASPI, setidaknya terdapat lima manfaat ekonomi yang dihasilkan dari kebijakan mandatori B30.<\/p>\n<p>1. Stabilisasi Harga CPO dan TBS<\/p>\n<p>Program B30 akan meningkatkan penyerapan sekitar 10 juta ton minyak sawit oleh industri biodiesel domestik, sehingga supply dan stok minyak sawit di pasar global relatif terjaga. Tingginya harga internasional CPO pada CIF Rotterdam akan ditranmisikan ke harga TBS yang diterima oleh petani yang juga mengalami peningkatan.<\/p>\n<p>2. Price Maker<\/p>\n<p>Dengan kebijakan mandatori biodiesel, Indonesia memiliki peluang untuk mewujudkan cita-cita sebagai global price maker minyak sawit dan produk turunannya. Hal ini dikarenakan melalui program biodiesel, Indonesia dapat mengatur volume stok di pasar global sehingga harga minyak sawit internasional juga dapat diatur dan ditentukan oleh Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>3. Solusi Dinamika dan Hambatan Pasar Global<\/p>\n<p>Dalam satu dekade terakhir, industri sawit nasional sering menghadapi dinamika pasar global yang diwarnai dengan unfair trade dengan tujuan untuk menghambat laju perdagangan sawit di pasar global. Salah satunya Uni Eropa dengan kebijakan RED II ILUC dan rencana phase-out minyak sawit karena dianggap sebagai feedstock yang high risk ILUC. \u201cProgram B30 merupakan strategi yang tepat untuk memitigasi resiko mengatasi dampak pemberlakuan kebijakan UE, karena program tersebut dapat menyerap volume minyak sawit di pasar domestik dengan kapasitas yang relatif besar,\u201d catat laporan PASPI.<\/p>\n<p>4. Pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/p>\n<p>Kebijakan mandatori biodiesel merupakan upaya pemerintah untuk mengembangkan sumber energi yang berkelanjutan sebagai alternatif penggunaan energi fosil, sekaligus juga menempatkan biodiesel sawit sebagai solusi dalam rangka merealisasikan SDG-7 yaitu Ketersediaan Energi secara Berkelanjutan dan SDG-13 yaitu Pencegahan Perubahan Iklim dan Dampaknya.<\/p>\n<p>5.
