Industri ini jadi tonggak penting dalam mencapai ketahanan energi nasional di masa depan. Dalam sebuah seminar yang diselenggarakan oleh PB Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam (HMI) di Jakarta, Sekretaris Direktorat Jenderal EBTKE, Wawan Supriatna, menyoroti urgensi optimalisasi EBT dalam menghadapi tantangan lingkungan, seperti gas rumah kaca.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Pemahaman akan potensi EBT Indonesia menjadi sangat penting. Saat ini, potensi tersebut mencapai lebih dari 441 GW, tetapi realisasinya baru sekitar 8,89 GW,&#8221; ujar Wawan. Potensi ini tersebar di berbagai wilayah tanah air, termasuk panas bumi, air, bioenergi, surya, angin, dan laut.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selain optimalisasi EBT, konservasi energi juga menjadi fokus utama. Wawan menjelaskan bahwa konservasi energi merupakan upaya terencana guna menjaga dan meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan sumber daya energi dalam negeri.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Penggunaan energi masyarakat Indonesia cenderung boros. Oleh karena itu, pemerintah terus menggalakkan kampanye hemat energi dengan program potong 10 persen,&#8221; tambahnya.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>EBT dan Bahan Bakar Nabati: Kunci Ketahanan Energi Indonesia<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dalam konteks ini, Deputi I Kepala Staf Kepresidenan Kantor Staf Presiden, Darmawan Prasodjo, menyoroti tantangan semakin menurunnya produksi minyak bumi Indonesia yang tidak sebanding dengan peningkatan konsumsi, sehingga mengakibatkan ketergantungan pada impor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Diperlukan strategi untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, salah satunya adalah dengan menggali potensi EBT. Pemerintah juga mendorong penggunaan minyak kelapa sawit (CPO) sebagai bahan bakar nabati (BBN),&#8221; ungkap Darmawan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Penggunaan EBT dan bahan bakar nabati seperti CPO menjadi langkah strategis dalam menjaga ketahanan energi nasional, mengurangi ketergantungan pada minyak bumi, serta memperkuat upaya mitigasi terhadap perubahan iklim. Namun, tantangan-tantangan seperti keberlanjutan investasi, regulasi yang belum optimal, dan kesiapan infrastruktur masih perlu diatasi untuk mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan EBT di Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Selain itu, pendidikan dan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya EBT juga perlu ditingkatkan. Dengan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang manfaat dan potensi EBT, masyarakat dapat lebih terlibat dalam upaya menjaga keberlanjutan sumber daya energi.<\/p>\n<p>Pemerintah juga perlu terus mendorong inovasi dan pengembangan teknologi dalam bidang EBT. Dukungan yang kuat dari berbagai sektor, termasuk industri dan akademisi, akan membantu mempercepat pengembangan dan implementasi solusi-solusi berbasis EBT.<\/p>\n<p>Secara keseluruhan, optimalisasi EBT tidak hanya merupakan langkah strategis untuk menjaga ketahanan energi Indonesia.
