Biodiesel Sawit Indonesia Lebih Hemat Emisi Dibandingkan Biodiesel Nabati Lain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Di tengah perdebatan panjang mengenai emisi biodiesel dari berbagai sumber minyak nabati, biodiesel sawit menunjukkan potensi besar. Terbukti dapat menurunkan emisi gas rumah kaca (GRK). Seperti bahan bakar nabati lainnya, dinilai berdasarkan metodologi penghitungan. Mencakup emisi langsung (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">direct emission<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), emisi akibat perubahan lahan langsung (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">direct land use change emission<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), dan emisi tidak langsung (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">indirect land use change emission<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">). Akan tetapi, metode penghitungan emisi ini sering kali menghasilkan variasi data. Akibat ketidakpastian dalam <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Life Cycle Analysis<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (LCA) yang digunakan dalam setiap metode tersebut (Liska dan Cassman, 2008; Malca dan Freire, 2011).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Potensi Carbon Sequestration dan Carbon Sink pada Perkebunan Sawit<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Perkebunan kelapa sawit bukan hanya sumber minyak nabati yang unggul, tetapi juga berperan sebagai penyerap karbon dioksida (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">carbon sink<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) dari atmosfer melalui proses fotosintesis. Dengan kemampuannya ini, kelapa sawit berkontribusi dalam mengurangi jejak karbon. Baik melalui biomassa sawit yang dihasilkan maupun dalam produksi minyak sawit. Saat dibandingkan dengan minyak nabati lainnya, minyak sawit menghasilkan emisi karbon yang lebih rendah.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sejalan dengan rendahnya emisi yang dihasilkan, biodiesel berbasis kelapa sawit <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">menawarkan tingkat penghematan emisi yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan biodiesel yang dihasilkan dari bahan baku lainnya seperti kedelai, rapeseed, dan bunga matahari. Saat digunakan sebagai alternatif diesel fosil, biodiesel sawit terbukti mengurangi emisi karbon secara signifikan.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Data Ilmiah: Efektivitas Penghematan Emisi Biodiesel Sawit<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Penelitian dari <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">European Commission Joint Research Centre<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (2013) menunjukkan bahwa biodiesel sawit yang dihasilkan oleh pabrik kelapa sawit (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CPO Mill<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) dengan teknologi penangkap metana (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">methane capture<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) dapat menghemat emisi hingga 62 persen. Angka ini lebih tinggi dibandingkan penghematan emisi dari biodiesel rapeseed (45 persen), kedelai (40 persen), dan bunga matahari (58 persen).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Mathews dan Ardyanto (2015) mendukung hasil ini. Dengan kesimpulan bahwa penggunaannya mampu mengurangi emisi GRK lebih dari 60 persen dibandingkan diesel fosil. Temuan serupa juga dikemukakan dalam studi <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Euro Lex<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (2009), yang mencatat bahwa penghematan emisi dari biodiesel sawit mencapai sekitar 62 persen dibandingkan emisi bahan bakar fosil.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Kajian Emisi dari Berbagai Sumber Biodiesel Nabati<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beragam penelitian yang dilakukan oleh para ahli telah menghasilkan angka penghematan emisi berkisar antara 40 hingga 71 persen. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa biodiesel sawit memiliki kapasitas penghematan emisi yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan biodiesel nabati lainnya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Secara keseluruhan, penggunaan biodiesel sawit sebagai alternatif pengganti diesel fosil berpotensi besar dalam menekan emisi karbon.
