INTRODUCTION
The Indonesia Biofuels Producer Association (APROBI) proudly presents the 6th Palm Biodiesel Conference – an international conference and exhibition organized in collaboration with the Malaysian Biodiesel Association (MBA) and the Thai Biodiesel Producer Association (TBPA).
Held under the theme: “The Role of Palm Biodiesel for Global Energy Security,” the conference will take place on 17–18 September 2026 at Sofitel Nusa Dua, Bali, Indonesia. Over the course of two days, the conference will bring together 200–300 delegates representing the full spectrum of palm biodiesel value chain – from industry players to government officials, innovation partners and other key stakeholders.
Attendees will hear directly from leading local and international experts through keynote speeches, panel discussions, talk shows, and technical presentations – covering the following key topics:
- Challenges and opportunities in the global biodiesel industry
- Current and future biodiesel policy developments in palm oil-producing countries
- The end-user perspective on expectations, challenges, and future biodiesel demand
- The role of biodiesel as a sustainable energy solution
- Innovative technologies and chemical products used in biodiesel production processes
Beyond the discussions, the conference will also spotlight the latest breakthroughs and future potential of biofuels derived from palm oil – offering a comprehensive view of where the industry is headed.
BEHIND THE CONFERENCE
The Palm Biodiesel Conference was first held in 2017 as a collaborative platform among three of Southeast Asia’s leading biodiesel associations – APROBI, MBA and TBPA. Since then, the conference has been held every two years, with each association taking turns as host across Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.
Over the years, the conference has become an important gathering point for the palm biodiesel industry, bringing together government representatives, industry players, policymakers, and international experts to share updates, discuss challenges, and explore opportunities shaping the future of biodiesel.
Now in this 6th edition, the Palm Biodiesel Conference returns to Indonesia, with APROBI taking the helm as host. Building on the momentum of previous conferences, the 6th Palm Biodiesel Conference 2026 continues this tradition of meaningful dialogue and regional collaboration – this time under the theme “The Role of Palm Biodiesel for Global Energy Security”.
