Indonesia Biodiesel 40% Mandatory – Remarkable Sustainable Innovation Program

The implementation of the B40 mandatory program is outlined in Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree No. 341.K/EK.01/MEM.E/2024 on the Utilization of Biodiesel as a Blend for Diesel Fuel, funded by the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency at a 40% blend ratio.
The distribution of B40 biodiesel is supported by 24 Biofuel Business Entities (BUBBN) responsible for supplying biodiesel, as well as 28 Oil Fuel Business Entities (BUBBM)—both PSO and Non-PSO—that distribute B40 to end consumers.
